I have good wireless coverage in my facility.  Is that all I need to insure success with my bar code project?

No, but it’s a good start. Other functions like proper roaming and bandwidth are critical to guaranteeing a successful solution. Not all wireless networks are made to provide the right functionality in a warehouse / manufacturing environment.

Is 2.4 or 5 GHz the right band for our bar coding project?

Both signal bands can do a great job for data collection systems. It is recommend a survey be done to see which band is best in your environment based on other network and electrical "noise" in each band.

What security is the best for my network?

We recommend WPA2 w/ Pre-Shared Key as the security for a typical data collection implementation. There are additional measures you can take like MAC filtering and firewall configurations that will add layers of security as well.
